Fraud Alert: Beware of Scammers Using WSIOMS’ Name

We have been made aware that scammers are impersonating WSIOMS Digital Marketing, falsely claiming to offer freelance work and requesting personal banking information. These fraudulent messages are being sent via WhatsApp by someone pretending to be “Enzokuhle or Omphilr, the HR Assistant at WSIOMS.”

⚠️ Please be advised:
✅ WSIOMS does not offer freelance work.
✅ We will never contact anyone via WhatsApp for job opportunities or payment details.
✅ If you receive such messages, do not engage—delete them immediately.

We take this matter seriously and are working to stop these fraudulent activities. If you suspect you have been contacted by a scammer using our name, please delete the message and report it.

Stay vigilant and thank you for your support.

Social media is continuing to grow and it has become quite a challenging process to monitor and update all the networks and channels you are using.

Even though most of the social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter has a wide range of features that you can use on directly on their websites, a range of other tools available online can help you consolidate your online presence across many networks.

Here’s a list of some of the tools that I use in managing a couple of my personal and business Twitter profiles.  These can help you be more productive and efficient in your social media campaigns.

Cotweet

Cotweet is an excellent tool and one of my favourites to manage your Twitter profiles. With the standard free edition you can link up to 6 Twitter accounts and the straight forward interface is easy to use.  Cotweet allows updates as well as follow up messages to be assigned to specific managers making it easier for them to handle queries from followers.

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is used for active accounts.  The free version including the free mobile version allows you to add up to five social channels to your account.  These channels consist of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, PingFm, WordPress, MySpace and Foursquare. The paid version of Hootsuite offers the integration of Google Analytics and unlimited insights into finding more about your targeted audience.

Tweetdeck

Tweetdeck is another tool that you can use to manage your social media profiles.  TweetDeck allows you to connect with your Google Buzz, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Foursquare accounts and it allows you to update all or just a few with the same status update.
